SB Basketball — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SB Basketball Incorporated, doing business as SB Basketball ("SB Basketball," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the SB Basketball Training app and related services (the "Services").

We keep data collection to what is needed to run a training app: signing you in, delivering your program, tracking your progress, managing your subscription, and answering your coaching questions. We do not sell personal information and we do not show third-party advertising.

1. Information we collect

Account information. You can sign in with Google or with Apple. With Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. With Apple, we receive your name (only the first time you sign in) and an email address, which may be a private relay address if you choose Apple's "Hide My Email". We use this information to create and identify your SB Basketball account, and we assign your account an internal member ID.

Subscription information. Purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and processed with RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status (for example, which program you have access to, whether a trial or subscription is active, and when it renews or ends). To manage your subscription and provide support, your member ID and account email are associated with your RevenueCat customer record. We never see or store your payment card details.

Training activity. Drills you mark as done, workout days, and streaks are stored on your device so the app can show your progress. We may also keep a record of which program you can access.

Coaching questions ("Ask Coach"). If you send a question, we store the message, any video links you include, and your account email so Coach SB can respond. These are delivered to Coach SB by email.

Videos you upload for coaching. You may attach a short video from your camera roll to an Ask Coach question. The video is uploaded to our secure storage provider and made available to Coach SB through a private, unguessable link included in the coaching email. Uploaded videos are used only to review your question. Please avoid filming other people without their permission.

Device and usage information. Our servers automatically receive basic technical information when the app connects (such as IP address, device type, operating system, and request logs) to keep the Services secure and working.

Photo library access. If you choose to attach a video, the app asks for permission to open your photo library so you can pick the clip. We access only the video you select. You can change this permission at any time in your device settings.

Content uploaded by the coach. Program artwork uploaded by the coach is stored with our hosting provider.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, health data, or biometric information.

 

2. How we use information

• To create your account, sign you in, and keep your session secure.

• To show the programs, drills, and videos included in your plan.

• To display your progress, streaks, and completed workouts.

• To confirm your subscription or trial and restore purchases.

• To deliver your coaching questions to Coach SB and respond to you.

• To provide support, fix problems, and improve the Services.

• To protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

• To meet legal obligations.

We rely on your consent, the need to provide the Services you asked for, and our legitimate interests in running a secure service, as permitted by applicable law.

 

3. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Services, and only for that purpose:

• Google — sign-in (Google OAuth).

• Apple — Sign in with Apple, under Apple's privacy terms.

• Apple App Store / Google Play — purchases, billing, and refunds, under their own privacy terms.

• RevenueCat — subscription management and purchase validation.

• Vimeo and YouTube — video playback. When you play a video, the video provider receives standard technical information (such as IP address) under its own privacy policy. We use privacy-friendly embed settings where available.

• Email delivery provider — delivering Ask Coach questions and responses.

• Hosting, storage, and database providers — storing account data, program content, and videos you upload for coaching.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.

 

4. Children's privacy

Our training programs can be used by players of any age. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from children than is needed to provide the Services.

Where applicable law requires it, a parent or legal guardian must consent before a child's personal information is collected. Parents and guardians can review the information held about their child, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent by contacting us at the email below. We may need to verify the parent's identity before acting on a request.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without the consent required by law, we will delete it.

 

5. How long we keep information

• Account information is kept while your account is active.

• Coaching questions and uploaded videos are kept so Coach SB can respond and to maintain a record of the support provided, and are deleted when your account is deleted. You can also ask us to delete a specific video at any time.

• Progress and streak data lives on your device and is removed when you delete your account from the app or uninstall it.

• Subscription records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat follow their retention rules.

• Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

We may retain limited information where required by law or to resolve disputes.

 

6. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete my account. This permanently removes your account, sessions, coaching questions, uploaded coaching videos, and on-device progress. If you signed in with Apple, you can also stop sharing your Apple ID with the app in your Apple ID settings.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel it in your store settings (for Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions).

 

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a privacy regulator (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner). To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within the time required by law.

 

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure session tokens, and access controls, to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, so please keep your Google or Apple account credentials safe and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

 

9. Where information is stored

Our service providers may store and process information in Canada, the United States, or other countries. Where information is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

 

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, where required, notify you in the app.
